I have been extremely pleased with my Malibu Mini X. Being small and lightweight it easily rides in the back of my full size pickup bed. The best thing about this boat is its performance on the water. It is extremely stable and is an excellent fishing platform. The 325lb weight capacity allows me to load it up with a sufficient amount of gear for all-day fishing. The kayak is excellent in big waves and is the "driest" kayak I have ever owned -- I've never had even the tiniest amount of water get inside the hull. I feel comfortable fishing in it anywhere. It is a great kayak for small to medium streams -- being short it is very easy to control in current. The only downside to this kayak (and others of similar length and width) is that it does not hold a straight line when paddling on flat water very well and you would do well to add a rudder to the kayak if that is your main use of the kayak. That is the only reason I give the boat 4/5 stars -- otherwise it is excellent. Given the stellar performance of the kayak overall I can put up with some inconvenience when paddling long, flat stretches of water. Perhaps I'll add a rudder this year -- but I like the boat just as it is. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, small kayak.
