The name of this kayak, Big Rig, sums up exactly what it is intended to do and for whom it was intended to do it for - big stability for the many anglers that deserve a model to help them feel comfortable in a smaller watercraft, and even allow them to stand and fish from one! If this kayak was much wider we might have to call it a boat, but our design team kept it at just the right specs to allow the Big Rig to maintain the performance of a kayak with the stability of a boat. They also made the hull where it performs/paddles very well in most kayak fishing situations - lakes, ponds, rivers, inshore saltwater bays or marshes - so no matter where you go the Big Rig is ready to make you feel comfortable there!

The comfort Jackson Kayak is known for is still found on the Big Rig as well. Anglers will especially enjoy the hi/lo Ergo seat which gives maximum comfort while on the water. Place the seat in the higher seated position for more comfort and a better view, or to make standing easier, drop to the lower placement where it boasts even more stability. The 3.0 version of our elite seat also offers a new ergonomic design, breathable and quick dry material and is fully adjustable and removable for the times when you find the perfect spot to take a break on shore. Additional comfort features of note include a padded floor, soft foot pegs and the leaning/casting bar that makes it even simple for any size angler to feel stable while standing.
The Big Rig also comes ready to be “rigged” with many different fishing accessories by including gear tracks which are embedded all along the kayak. RAM rod holders also come standard - two “tough tube” models and one 2007 model - and anglers will notice the traditional rods stagers which make it easy to quickly pick up different rods and ensure they do not tangle on each other. Of course, if you really don’t want your rods to tangle you can always place them in the “rod trough” rod protectors that line each side of the kayak. The Big Rig comes Raymarine fish finder and Power-Pole ready by encorporating features/designs that fit each particular model. For those that really need space to store extra gear then look no further than the large bow and stern hatches which have room for rods/reels, camping gear, dry bags or whatever else you may want to take with you on your adventures.
The Big Rig is fully equipped for full size anglers and is ready to make serious waves in 2017! To ensure that it is the right model for you, check out our dealers page where you can find the closest dealer to you and test out a Big Rig before you make your final BIG decision!
