Northern Forest Canoe Trail Part 3

Ben Duchesney, from Postfly and former web editor for Kayak Angler, had the crazy idea to canoe and fish for over 100 miles on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. He reached out to three kayak angler friends Rex Del Ray, Mark Vlaskamp, and Robert Field to see if there was any interest and this video series follows their epic journey. Starting in Old Forge, New York they set out with high spirits and big fish on the brain. The smallmouth and pike were so good right off the starting line that they almost forgot they had to paddle. Watch how they deal with the staple of any good canoe trip; portaging and hauling gear. Hint: their first half-mile over land took three hours!
