How many times have you caught a big drum and thought it was a monster bass?

"Here is a trophy freshwater drum I caught pre-fishing for the KBF Open on Kentucky lake in Paris, TN," said Mike Eady. "Caught it on a perch color Berkeley war pig working the rocks on the side of the bridge leading into Paris.

I had already caught a few small bass when I felt a hard strike. I set the hook, hoping it was a 10 pound bass. A minute into the fight I knew it was something much bigger. At first I thought catfish, but once I got it to the kayak I realized it was a drum. Measured in at 30 inches. At the exact moment Matt Stehle from PA took the picture for me as he was passing by."
