On overcast days bass will start looking up, so throw topwater.

"I took a guys weekend trip and rented a cabin at Lake Naconiche in East Texas," said Wilderness Systems pro staffer Cody Carpenter. "This pic was the foggy morning of day 2.

The wind was blowing around 20 mph, but we found them schooling near the surface so I threw a Whopper Plopper around where the shad were jumping and I connected. We caught steady fish for about an hour on the Whopper Plopper then switched to a jig."

There's nothing as fun as hooking up with a nice bass on topwater.
