The higher the water temperatures get the more fired up the bass become.

"It was a "God bless Texas" day–sunny and in the 70's in March, and the fish weren't choosy," said Gerald Nissley. "However, the water was in the low 60's temp-wise, so slower retrieves were in order. The fish was caught on Shadowood Lake, in Marshall, TX, out of my Jackson Kayak Cuda 12 on a Sexy Shad lipless crankbait in 15 feet of water.

He was 21" with mouth open on the Hawg Trough. It was a great day of fishing all over the lake, from flats to structure, and the fish were active on creature baits and lipless crankbaits."
