Sometimes you just need to hit the water. Yes, NEED.

"Needed to get on the water so I headed out to Dotons Point to see how the water levels were and to see if I could trick some fish," said James Pratt. "The plan was to work on drop shotting that day. I spent a while doing that and wasn't having any success. My ADHD kicked in and off I went working my favorite lures this time of year.

It took some time but I was able to get two hookups and landed both. While the bite was a little slow the quality was awesome. The biggest went 17.75" and the smaller was just under that. Both fish were set free to fight another day.

The pedal back was amazing with a beautiful sunset, the sound of geese flying overhead, and honking at each other while cruising across the lake. No matter how bad my day is when I spend the last of it like this life is good."
