When fishing is your life you brave chilly weather and hit the water.

"This is my 18yr old daughter Sydney Carter and her personal best shoal bass of 20.75"," said James Fralish. "She leaves for basic training in May and I am a very proud Navy Dad!"

We were fishing the Chattahoochee river near Valley, AL and we put the yaks in the water before daylight. It was a chilly morning but promised to warm up in the afternoon. Partly cloudy skies. She caught it at around 9a.m., on a 1/4oz " A Day on The Water" jig (green pumpkin color not sure of the exact color name) with a black and blue trailer.

It measured 20.75" and was released in the exact same spot it was caught. Sydney always uses a spinning rod. She will be fishing the yak Tribe tournament with me this February. Fishing is her life, she has always enjoyed it. Even when others say it's too cold, she will always go with me."
