As the water cools, throw a crankbait that dives a little deeper to hook up.

"Me and my buddy Mike Ernst wanted to make a late Fall fishing trip before the cold settled in," said Wilderness Systems pro Craig Dye. "The water was in the high 50's and we were hoping the buzzbait bite would still be on. After no luck on topwater I started throwing a crankbait.

After locating the brush pile with my Lowrance, I threw the Rapala DT-6 past the target.  As soon as the lure deflected off the tree the rod loaded up and the fight was on. It's always nice to end an awesome fishing season with a 20"+ largemouth."
