Our advice is to throw it back out as bait and catch that musky. Our advice is to throw it back out as bait and catch that musky. Photo: Charlie Lumbis

Watch your catch, you never know what's lurking beneath the surface.

"This shot was taken at Trout Lake, Noelville Ontario of this year," said Charlie Lumbis. "One evening we decided to go walleye fishing around this island and my fishing partner Doug Netzke was fishing the other side. A few minutes later I heard shouting for me to come over. Well what I saw was the kayak bouncing up and down and sideways and Doug slapping at the water with his paddle.

Finally the kayak stopped moving and Doug reached in the water to get his stringer which we were both amazed that the smallmouth bass was still on the stringer (almost). Apparrently when Doug placed the bass on the stringer out came a musky from the weedbed looking to get a quick meal."
