2017 YakAttack Benefit Tournament

The 2017 YakAttack Benefit Tournament will take place May 19 - 20 and will be headquartered at the Cedar Crest Conference Center at Twin Lakes State Park in Green Bay, Virginia; same location as previous years. This year the registration cap of 185 anglers was filled within 72 hours of open registration.

183 anglers participated in the 2016 event making it one of the largest fresh water kayak fishing tournaments to date. The event will benefit Heroes on the Water and Project Healing Waters. Last year the event raised and donated $18,447 for Heroes on the Water and $2,500 for Project Healing Waters. For YakAttack, the main focus of the event is raising funds for the benefiting organizations, enjoying great home cooked food, and fellowship with other like-minded anglers. There is no cash payout or prizes won at this event for the fishing results. Prizes like kayaks and coolers are part of the benefit raffle. The unique tournament dynamics make the event low pressure with anglers only fishing for bragging rights and a trophy.
