Bonafide Kayaks to Debut at ICAST 2017 as Fishing Kayak Manufacturer

Burkeville, VA – November 10, 2016 – Luther Cifers announced today the formation of a new company, Bonafide Kayaks, a US manufacturer of premium fishing kayaks.

With an official brand launch in January 2017, the company’s first fishing kayak is scheduled to debut at the iCAST (International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades) tradeshow in Orlando, FL in July of 2017. “We’re excited about the opportunity to design and manufacture fishing kayaks, and will make every effort to ensure our kayak designs give anglers the best we have to offer in terms of quality, features, and functionality,” says Cifers. “A passion for manufacturing and a strong desire to serve this incredible community make this a really exciting endeavor and we can’t wait to get started.”

Cifers is founder and President of YakAttack, an industry leading US manufacturer of kayak fishing accessories, and will serve as President / CEO of Bonafide Kayaks. He says the companies will operate independently. “Bonafide Kayaks and YakAttack are two separate entities,” says Cifers. “Though they serve the same marketplace, they do so in very different ways with very different offerings, and will exist as individual brands as well as independent companies.”

More specific details on Bonafide Kayaks can be expected in the coming weeks and months.

Kayak fishing is the fastest growing method by which anglers are going fishing. Though the sport has existed in a small community for decades, it has experienced rapid growth in recent years.
