Redesigned Zooka II, new AR Rod Tube and improved fishfinder mount offer more options for rigging

YakAttack gear is created by fishermen for fishermen, specifically kayak fishermen. At Paddlesports Retailer in Oklahoma City marketing manager John Hipsher showed us three of his favorite new products. First, we were stoked that they’ve brought back the popular Zookatube, one of the first rod holders for kayak anglers, with improvements for a better fit. The simple single-tube elevated rod holder has been reshaped to cradle reels from spinning to casting and small to large. They added an attachment for a rod leash and the new Zookatube will come with a four-inch extension and lock and load base. To compliment the simple Zookatube, the new AR Rod Tube is shaved to save weight. The collar can accommodate any size or style rod and reel. The rodholder can be configured with an open butt end for long rods or a gimble closure to secure heavy offshore rods.

Adding to their line of beefy fishfinder mounts, they’ve included a new mount for the Lowrance Hook 2 series fishfinders. Improving on the Lowrance bracket, the YakAttack update is easy to adjust without loosening knobs. The AR Rod Tube and Hook 2 mount will come with a Lock-and-Load base.
