Malone FS Storage Rack
The problem with collecting fishing kayaks is where to store them. Ideally, a plastic boat is stored on its side, out of the sun and elements. The best way to store multiple boats without taking up the whole yard is a vertical storage rack. Malone’s rack is light and low profile but tough enough to hold three sit-on-tops on individually adjustable stacking arms. The powder coated arms will hold the boats inside the garage or out in the yard. Plenty of room to store boats on the gunnel to prevent the kayak from bending and warping. All arms are adjustable to fit a variety of boats.
Power Pole Micro
If you’re fishing beat includes backwater flats and skinny water coves, you’ll spend a lot of time pulling the anchor or deploying the stakeout pole. Power Pole has introduced the Micro specifically for kayak and small boat anglers. The compact system sits on the stern of any kayak and deploys a stakeout pole with the push of a button. Connect the Micro to a 12-volt battery or use the new Micro Battery Pak that provides compact lightweight power. The Micro is controlled with a simple remote and accepts the C-Monster app that allows access to settings and control via smartphone. The Power Pole Micro allows an angler to secure his kayak quick and easy, to spend more time fishing and less time anchoring.

One sign of the modernization of kayak fishing is purpose built gadgets for mounting electronics. RamMounts has introduced mounts specific for Humminbird and Lowrance fishfinder displays that mate with any of their bases and arms. Kayak anglers can install a fishfinder without having to modify the factory mount. The new mounts give the angler freedom to install their electronics on any gear track.
Wilderness Systems SlideTrax
Many kayaks come pre-rigged with gear tracks and adding a geartrack only takes a drill and a few minutes. Gear tracks make it easy to add and move accessories and electronics. Wilderness’ SlideTrax tool-less tie downs allow an angler to add more lashing points to hold gear in place, any place. Tie down a crate or bungee gear on any kayak or even a SUP rigged with tracks. The SlideTrax fit any gear track system and accept a ¼-inch bungee.
