SOLO KAYAKER TO CIRCUMNAVIGATE GEORGIAN BAY FOR CHARITY
Georgian Bay, ON, Canada April 1st, 2008 -- Beginning on July 1st, 2008, kayaker Patrick Stark will be circumnavigating Georgian Bay to raise money for the Georgian Bay Land Trust (GBLT). Patrick hopes to raise $5000 for the GBLT, $5 for every kilometer he paddles during his 1000km, 40 day expedition. The Georgian Bay Land Trust is a not-for-profit, registered charity, whose goal is to protect the uniqueness of the eastern shore and North Channel of Georgian Bay through the securement and on-going stewardship of land that has ecological, geological and historical importance. Through this work, the GBLT works to educate and promote the importance of this area.
