I am in market for my first kayak. It will be used for two purposes exercise and fishing. I live about 2 tenths of a mile from putting in on a river that is brackish (tidal). My main three top choices are the WS Tarpon 140, Jackson Cuda, and Ocean Prowler 15. I am leaning toward the Cuda but I prefer the construction of the WS Tarpon 140. The Cuda uses rivets for hardware attachment in lots of placements and I do not like this at all. Plus the storage or hull access covers do not snap on easily or very secure. I probably will add straps to hold them down if I bought the Cuda. Otherwise the Cuda would be in my garage and I would be taking tomorrow of to try it out!

Other planned uses for kayak are one to three day float trips down slow rivers in south tx and la, some salt water and small to medium lakes.

I believe from videos on the Cuda and Coosa these have best fishing options for SIT kayaks and the ability to stand is huge. I love the WS locking covers, stainless steel hardware attachment, and side rails for attaching other equipment.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
