  • An old-fashioned, down-home waterfront festival where everything is fun and nothing much is fancy. It's as authentically grassroots American as you can get!
  • Enjoy new & vintage wooden boats on display at Port Dock One! Boat exhibitors are encouraged to register EARLY this year!
  • This year, we are honoring the history of log rafting tugs on the Yaquina River! Watch the challenge of the log rolling demonstrations!
  • The "Yaquina Runoff" non-motorized, people-powered boat races will launch from the Elk City Boat Launch (approximately 9 miles) and the Cannon Quarry Boat Launch (approximately 3 miles).
  • Back by popular demand will be the "Yaquina Challenge Run" with runners competing against the boaters! Be watching for details!
  • Master boatbuilder, Carl Chamberlain of Port Townsend, WA, and local boatbuilder, Rick Johnson, will return to lead our 2008 Family Boat Building! Make plans now to build a boat!
  • Live music is a big part of the Wooden Boat Show! A number of bands will be performing throughout the weekend, including Kelly Thibodeaux and Etouffee Band, scheduled to perform at the Saturday night concert.Their Cajun-style music will have your toes tapping and hands clapping!
  • Rogue Brewery of Newport, OR will be hosting this year's Beer Garden.
  • Jack Brown of Depoe Bay Kid's Zone/Rowing Club, will coordinate the"Slow Slough Scull" timed rowing competition. This event is FREE to everyone--ages 10 and older!
  • The Port of Toledo Wooden Boat Show will also host the 2008 World Championship Puddle Duck Race! This will be a fun event you won't want to miss!
  • Yaquina Bay Yacht Club will be offering FREE sailboat rides during the show!
  • Don't miss the exciting sailing demonstrations given by the YBYC Youth Sailing Club!
  • Visit the Toledo History Center located on beautiful Main Street to see its display on boating history in the Toledo area!
