ADMISSION to the beach is free although we will ask for a $5 donation OR non-perishable food items for the local food bank.
Friday Night - A SEA KAYAKERS GUIDE TO THE SAN JUANS: (Ken Campbell)
Saturday Night - EXPLORING GLACIER BAY: (Gary Luhm)
DEMO for free a wide variety of kayaks, whitewater kayaks, canoes and gear from some of the leading manufacturers including Necky, Eddyline, Seaward, Ocean Kayak, Redfish Kayaks, and Werner and Swift Paddles. Dress appropriately for a test drive (or five!). Life jackets and paddles will be provided. Demo hours: Friday Noon-5pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-2pm.
CLINICS will be held throughout the 3 days on various kayaking techniques, safety, etc. We are bringing in the regions best instructors to teach beginning through advanced skills and techniques as well as slide shows and other on-land informative talks. Click the link below for the clinic list. Clinics, slide shows and other presentations have a small fee to help offset the costs of the Coaches and Instructors time, travel and accommodations.
LIVE MUSIC at the Red Lion Friday Night! Music by DEADWOOD REVIVAL. Join this nationally reknowned band which blends banjo, guitar, bass, and awesome harmonies together in their own blend of old-timey folky americana music! A small cover charge is needed to pay for the band. Sorry, no minors. 8:30 pm start and a no host bar.
3rd ANNUAL COHO DODGE AND DASH KAYAK RACE Olympic Raft & Kayak and Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club are sponsoring this kayak race on Sunday morning. Race starts at 9 am so participants need to be there at 8:30 am. There is a 3.6 nm course with eight different competitor catagories. Prizes include free nights at the Red Lion, Gift Certificates from Olympic Raft & Kayak and free one year membership dues to Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club!
