Natchez, Mississippi, is located on the Mississippi River, in the Southwest Quad of the state, at the juncture of U.S. Highway 84 and, the “Blues Highway”, U.S. Highway 61. If you place your ear to the ground at this juncture, in hopes of hearing the blues, you will very likely be run over by a semi.

So, what’s the Phatwater Kayak Challenge?

The Phatwater Kayak Challenge is the premier paddling event on the Mighty Mississippi. It’s a grueling, 42.5 mile, paddle endurance race from the port at Grand Gulf, near Port Gibson, Mississippi, to the Natchez Landing, at Natchez Under-The-Hill.
