Rapid is North America’s only whitewater kayaking and canoeing magazine. Inside every issue are the hottest whitewater boats and gear reviews, best rivers, top athletes and coolest new tricks you’d expect to find in an industry-leading paddling magazine. But that’s not what makes Rapid so special.
Rapid began ten years ago, in a rented shack in the Ottawa Valley—the hotbed of whitewater paddling. With a passion for whitewater and an entrepreneurial spirit, we set out to create a lifestyle for ourselves, the magazine and our readers.
Rapid is about the soul of whitewater; it is about the love of rivers and it couldn’t be done in a cubical. Rapid needs to live at the rivers to be real. After ten years, Rapid thrives because of a passion for whitewater in all our staff, writers, photographers and especially in our readers. We like to say, Rapid delivers the river!
